This book is a treasure trove of unreleased photos of John & Yoko, plus transcriptions of interviews from the Lennons and every artist/musician involved in all the Plastic Ono Band's recordings, including the singles ("Give peace A Chance," "Cold Turkey," and "Instant Karma,") also the "Live Peace In Toronto" album, through the release of John and Yoko's Plastic Ono Band albums. There are photos from live events of that time (Montreal Bed-In For Peace, Live Peace in Toronto concert, Top Of The Pops performances for "Instant Karma,") plus early family photos of John and Yoko, remembrances from Arthur Janov, Jann Wenner, and Annie Liebovitz. The backstories behind each song are covered, and you even can see the handwritten lyrics for every song as well. A personal favorite of mine are the illustrations from Klaus Voorman of the Plastic Ono Band on the plane on the way to Toronto, backstage at Varsity Stadium, Toronto, and during the sessions for the Plastic Ono Band album. This is a must-have for every John Lennon fan, just like 2018's giant book on "Imagine."

He worked for the group beginning in 1965, and promoted their music and Apple recording artists in the U.S. This book tells that story, culminating with Ken being one of the privileged few who witnessed the Beatles concert on the Apple rooftop. Ken shares his insights on what lead to the group up on the roof, and why the Beatles left it all on that stage. He also reflects on the relationships he built with the Fab Four and Apple Corps, and what each player has meant in the history of music.

This book is a treasure trove of unreleased photos of John & Yoko, plus transcriptions of interviews from the Lennons and every artist/musician involved in all the Plastic Ono Band's recordings, including the singles ("Give peace A Chance," "Cold Turkey," and "Instant Karma,") also the "Live Peace In Toronto" album, through the release of John and Yoko's Plastic Ono Band albums. There are photos from live events of that time (Montreal Bed-In For Peace, Live Peace in Toronto concert, Top Of The Pops performances for "Instant Karma,") plus early family photos of John and Yoko, remembrances from Arthur Janov, Jann Wenner, and Annie Liebovitz. The backstories behind each song are covered, and you even can see the handwritten lyrics for every song as well. A personal favorite of mine are the illustrations from Klaus Voorman of the Plastic Ono Band on the plane on the way to Toronto, backstage at Varsity Stadium, Toronto, and during the sessions for the Plastic Ono Band album. This is a must-have for every John Lennon fan, just like 2018's giant book on "Imagine."

3) THE ROOF: THE BEATLES' FINAL CONCERT - Ken Mansfield - Ken was the U.S. Manager for Apple Records. He worked for the group beginning in 1965, and promoted their music and Apple recording artists in the U.S. This book tells that story, culminating with Ken being one of the privileged few who witnessed the Beatles concert on the Apple rooftop. Ken shares his insights on what lead to the group up on the roof, and why the Beatles left it all on that stage. He also reflects on the relationships he built with the Fab Four and Apple Corps, and what each player has meant in the history of music.
